AVP Academy Las Vegas Program Director and Coach
Played indoor collegiate volleyball at Cal Poly. Graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology-emphasis in Allied Health. Personal trainer that quickly discovered a passion for working with young athletes. Club volleyball coach for 6 years. Strength and Conditioning coach for high school, club, and collegiate level. Currently adjunct professor at College of a Southern Nevada. Strength coach and Assistant coach for CSN lady Coyotes volleyball program. Formerly AAA beach volleyball player. Beach volleyball coach for 5 years.
AVP Academy Las Vegas Coach
Range started playing volleyball in 1995 for Green Valley High School in the Las Vegas valley. He went on to help the school win their first state championship in 1997. It was also during that time that he developed his passion for beach doubles at the local Sunset Park.
After high school, he went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he helped establish the UNLV men’s volleyball club as a player/coach. During that time he was a volunteer coach for the UNLV women’s volleyball team as well.
Range continued to play after graduating, winning multiple gold, silver and bronze medals in National championships in 2’s grass and men’s indoor 6’s at various levels. He also achieved his AAA rating in Beach doubles with the California Beach Volleyball Association.
In 2005 he started coaching for the newly founded Desert Elite Volleyball Club and in the manner of 3 years took over ownership and as managing director. There he continued to coach up until 2017.
His passion is in the beach volleyball game and is ecstatic to be coaching for the AVP Academy, an organization he has played many tournaments with and whose professional events he has been to many times.
